So after I found out that I got a job I knew I would have to go for training. The past weeks I have been working on being trained, but today I actually went out on the job and took photographs! This was very exciting to me. I was nervous no doubt!! I prayed to God a lot yesterday to calm me down and He made me realize that it is all in His hands. He wants me here and now doing this photography job for a good reason whether for me or for someone else whether it goes bad or good there is a very good reason. There have been times when I have been very nervous and I have prayed to God, I mean really took the time to pray. I can't even explain the great peace He can give my heart. It sure doesn't come from me because I always feel nervous ;) So today went good for the first day taking photos of children. I can't help thinking when I would be doing this with my sister and I would play office of some sort when we were little and we were doing this kind of things for fun or to pass the time. However, this is in the real world and a little more stressful, but I catch myself sometimes almost having fun and in the midst of memories with my little sister playing years ago that we pretended to have a job like this.
The best part of this job so far is getting to see all the different kids and taking a memorable picture that they may have for years, even if it is just a basic school photo. Also to feel like I have a purpose in taking photographs for these kids and their parents. I hope there are more days like this! The people I worked with today were so encouraging and calm at my small mistakes and made me feel good about my strong points. I praise God for opening this job up to me and helping me through each step of the way!

Got a Job!
Yes, I got a wonderful sounding job. I will be taking pictures of children's school photos which yes may be standard, but a great way to start. I can't wait to start working and making some money while feeling like I can use my photography in the world. God has really blessed me and answered my prayers by sending me a job. It was all Him who provided this for me. I will let you know how it goes, since I don't start until a few weeks. So excited!! Keep praying to God giving your requests to Him and asking for His will to be done through your life. No matter what happens it is how God wants it and what He wants is always for your best for you even if it may not seem like it at the time. Thanks for dropping by and seeing my progress in my photography job hunting.

Slowly Starting
Hey there! This week was pretty slow. However, I did order some business cards just to start out with for friends and people I know and I also purchased a 50 mm lens. I was excited to get the lens in the mail! When I was in college I liked borrowing the lens and wanted to have one of mine own. I finally do, I wouldn't have the money to get it, but I got it as a graduation present. I haven't gotten my business cards yet, but I can't wait to see them when they come!! I really want to start out and get working. I also have been waiting to hear back from another job that I have applied for and it feels like forever to hear back. It is not in the photography business, but I really want this job because I need the money and would love to be in the work force. I also got fabric from a fabric store and practiced with my sister as it as a backdrop haha. Here are two photos from this test shooting and a photo of my lens :). Thanks again for reading, and I hope you have seen God somehow work in your life this week. I know I have; he has opened up my eyes to some things and gave me another perspective of things. So glad that God has given me the opportunity to share this website with y'all :) Have a great start to summer!!

First Project After College
I don't have any real fun pictures to show you this week, but I did get the opportunity to get a paying job this past
week for one day. This is the first time I got paid for being in the line of
photography. The thing is that I didn't get to take any pictures :( I
just went along and helped with little things. However, it was good
experience and the same person may want me for another job! I actually
would be taking pictures on the next project if I did get the job, which
seems promising. This would be a lot more fun I think. Sometimes I get
nervous about taking jobs because I don't know how well I will do them. I
know I will always try to do my best, but sometimes I feel stupid and
afraid I will mess something up. Sometimes I feel like I may not be
qualified for photography and maybe I should have went into something
else for a living, I really like to have people look back on photographs
and remember where they were and what they were doing. And I really do like taking photographs, just feeling this uncertainty. I treasure
photographs of the past and I want to give that same feeling to others
in taking photographs. For some reason God wanted me to go into this
line of business. I will have to trust him for now...for the rest of my
life. Hehe. I am glad He is the one guiding my life because I have no
idea where I am going and I'm not good at directions anyways ;)
Oh and also this week I found a picture of this car and started drawing it and couldn't help but finish it. Not the greatest and not exact, but it was actually fun since I didn't draw for a while.I know it isn't a regular photograph, but I thought I would share it because it is a kind of art. This week maybe challenge yourself to try to do something you love to do and do it for fun. Thanks for letting me share this with you. God made you as His creation and gave you your talents so try to use them! Have a fantastic day :)
