I find that I am needing to push myself and take photos, but once I start going out away and by myself I love it and tell myself why don't I do this more often? Why is it that sometimes I feel forced to take pictures? Is it because I am expected to love it all the time? Is it normal to feel this way? Is this what I want to do with my life if I don't love it every time I pick up the camera? Would I feel more satisfied with something else?
These questions come to mind in this past year since finishing college. My life has been all over this past year trying to find myself both with photography and spiritually. I have been in a lot of different situations and places that were not planned. I may not know what is going to happen next like this past year, but God will lead me exactly where He wants me and who He wants me to be with, doing what I am supposed to be doing. I have found that I don't have to be doing strictly photography to be happy with what I am doing for a job. I always hope to continue to take pictures whether for a living or not, I will
always enjoy the happiness and excitement of a wonderful photograph. I hope my life is filled with photography and in God's plan, but I have to let it go and let Him guide me.
God moves you around and even though it is not perfect with what I may want, it is His perfect plan for me :) I have to be at peace with this. He is my light and I will follow wherever He leads me. Like in a photograph, the light makes a whole scene better and without it there is no picture. Here are some photos that I chose to share with ya'll ;)
Matthew 5:14- "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid."

After Training
So after I found out that I got a job I knew I would have to go for training. The past weeks I have been working on being trained, but today I actually went out on the job and took photographs! This was very exciting to me. I was nervous no doubt!! I prayed to God a lot yesterday to calm me down and He made me realize that it is all in His hands. He wants me here and now doing this photography job for a good reason whether for me or for someone else whether it goes bad or good there is a very good reason. There have been times when I have been very nervous and I have prayed to God, I mean really took the time to pray. I can't even explain the great peace He can give my heart. It sure doesn't come from me because I always feel nervous ;) So today went good for the first day taking photos of children. I can't help thinking when I would be doing this with my sister and I would play office of some sort when we were little and we were doing this kind of things for fun or to pass the time. However, this is in the real world and a little more stressful, but I catch myself sometimes almost having fun and in the midst of memories with my little sister playing years ago that we pretended to have a job like this.
The best part of this job so far is getting to see all the different kids and taking a memorable picture that they may have for years, even if it is just a basic school photo. Also to feel like I have a purpose in taking photographs for these kids and their parents. I hope there are more days like this! The people I worked with today were so encouraging and calm at my small mistakes and made me feel good about my strong points. I praise God for opening this job up to me and helping me through each step of the way!

Got a Job!
Yes, I got a wonderful sounding job. I will be taking pictures of children's school photos which yes may be standard, but a great way to start. I can't wait to start working and making some money while feeling like I can use my photography in the world. God has really blessed me and answered my prayers by sending me a job. It was all Him who provided this for me. I will let you know how it goes, since I don't start until a few weeks. So excited!! Keep praying to God giving your requests to Him and asking for His will to be done through your life. No matter what happens it is how God wants it and what He wants is always for your best for you even if it may not seem like it at the time. Thanks for dropping by and seeing my progress in my photography job hunting.

Birdhouse Project
Hello there! This week I got the opportunity to get a job from a friend to take pictures of birdhouses that he made. This is not something I would think would be my first long term project, but as long as it is taking pictures for someone that enjoys them, that is all that matters. It is a fun project that is still in the process that my sister and I are working together on for our friends. My sister is designing the website and I am taking the pictures for it :) Perfect!! I can't explain how comforting it is to know that God is taking care of me to always have little projects here and there that gives me a little money and happiness. Everyone as well is very nice and understanding about my beginning process. God thank you for my life even though my life is not perfect and never will be, you are perfect and you are modeling me to who you want me and where you want me. Like making these birdhouses each part is important and is made piece by piece, God does the same thing leading us through life day by day, trial by trial until we are complete and being more like Him :)

Photobooth Fun
Went
to a wedding on Friday to shoot photos for the photobooth. There were so
many good props to get dressed up with and for the background there was
a white backdrop that were used. I don't have any photos to show you
because I was working for someone else and using her camera. However, I
had a great time and got great experience! I was a little nervous, but God gave me the courage and got me
through by adding some fun too :) Wish I could do more photoshoots like this. God you have always gotten me through and will always help me through every step whether good or not so good. Fortunately, this time it was good and it was all from God because I am not always good at being sociable because I am quiet, but God has been slowly pushing me and as far as I know it was a success on Friday! My talent and thanks go to God!!!
